Chris Brown, Rihanna’s former beau, is dealing with assault charges against Rihanna. Back in February, Chris Brown was formally charged with felony assault after he allegedly attacked Rihanna. Mr. Brown has pleaded not guilty. Now that the two are no longer involved, Rihanna seems to have set her sites elsewhere.

Numerous tabloids sources that follow celebrities, Rhianna has been seen in a Los Angeles area restaurant having dinner with the Los Angeles Lakers star player, Andrew Bynum. According a gossip magazine, Rihanna and Andrew Bynum were seen having dinner at Mastro’s Steakhouse in Beverly Hills on Friday evening, April 172009. A source indicated that two of them were looking very much like a couple.

If the rumor is accurate, and Rhianna and Bynum are dating, this appears to be the first man that she has been dating since she and Chris Brown decided to part ways. Presuming that Mr. Brown’s actions against Rihanna did happen, it’s pretty apparent why she would be looking elsewhere for romance.

Rhianna was photographed in the company of other professional basketball players recently as well. A separate source has indicated that Rhianna was also seen at a recent Los Angeles Clippers party. Rhianna was at the party to help Los Angeles Clippers star Baron Davis celebrate his 30th birthday.

Rihanna apparently likes spending her time with basketball players. Most other people might have a difficult time trying to secure Laker playoff tickets, however Rhianna now seems to have inside connections and she will have no trouble securing cheap Lakers tickets to any game that she wants to attend.

Bynum is just coming off of any injury that caused him to miss nearly half of the Lakers recently completely regular season He, along with his Lakers teammates are in the National Basketball Association playoffs. The Lakers are trying to get back to the National Basketball Association Finals to play for the league championship. The Lakers were the champions of the Western Conference and are considered the favorites to advance to the Finals from the West.

The Lakers lost in the league championship series last season to the Boston Celtics. This year, the Celtics are facing stiffer competition than they faced last season in the East from the likes of the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Orlando Magic. The Lakers are hoping that Mr. Bynum will be doing a lot of traveling with his teammates until June, so the relationship with Rihanna may need to wait awhile.
