Okay, so you know about picture frames, you know about the types you can get, now you need to know about each specific category. In this post, I’m going to talk about glass picture frames.Glass frames are, hands down, the best looking. Glass frames consist of two thin glass pieces. In between these two pieces, there is a slit for your picture to go into. Glass picture frames are very thin, and it looks great. This creates a modern feel, and looks great.

Photo’s or Paintings?

Unlike wooden frames, glass frames can look great with some pictures, but not so great with others. A black and white photo is a very good example of something that looks great in a glass frame. Glass really accents black and white, and the end result looks incredible. However, if you’re looking for a frame for paintings, they won’t look as good in glass.

One thing I keep harping on, is that glass frames look modern. Therefore, most paintings and photos that have a modern look go good with glass. You’ll still want to use wood frames for more classy art.

One Shape

Usually, glass picture frames only come in a square/rectangular shape. Oval and circular shaped frames are much less common with glass. Also, you don’t want to use glass frames for a large photo or painting. Medium or small sized photos/paintings look great, but anything larger doesn’t look good.
